PRIVACY
POLICY.

Locomotion does not collect any data from users of the app. The app is an open-source visionOS client that connects to a self-hosted server you operate. Omen and the Locomotion contributors do not receive any personal information, device identifiers, usage analytics, or telemetry from your use of the app.

Effective date: 2026-05-13

1. WHO WE ARE

Locomotion is an open-source research project by OMEN, distributed under the MIT License. The visionOS client source code is available at github.com/Arte-Omen/Locomotion. This policy covers the Locomotion app distributed on the Apple App Store.

2. DATA WE COLLECT

None. The Locomotion app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, device identifiers, location, contacts, advertising identifiers, crash logs, analytics, or usage metrics. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

3. HOW THE APP USES NETWORK CONNECTIONS

To operate, the app establishes a direct WebRTC connection to a server address that you configure (typically a local IP on your own network running the open-source Python server included in the repository). Over this connection:

4. CAMERA PERMISSION

The app requests camera access only to support visionOS scene rendering and passthrough features required for spatial interaction. No camera frames captured on your device are transmitted off the device, recorded, or shared with us or any third party.

5. SIMULATION MODE

The app's Simulation mode runs entirely on-device against a virtual robot. No network connection is required and no data leaves your device while using Simulation mode.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or cloud services. The only external dependency that ships with the app is the open-source LiveKit WebRTC transport library, which is used solely for the peer-to-peer media connection to the server you configure.

7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this URL with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the GitHub repository changelog.

8. CONTACT

Questions about this policy or about Locomotion's privacy practices can be sent to can-dindar@outlook.com, or filed as an issue on the project repository.
